King of the Pippins Apple Tree

The King of the Pippins produces a medium, flushed, cooking/dessert apple, especially good for cider, with a subacid flavour. A mildew resistant tree, with moderate vigour, slightly susceptible to Canker, it has an upright habit. It is a good cropper with fruit to be picked in early October and used October to December.

The King of the Pippins apple tree is thought to originate from 18th century France, but it has been widely grown and popular in England since Victorian times.
