Warner's King Apple Tree

The Warner's King produces a large, green, cooking apple, acidic in flavour. A vigorous, frost resistant, upright-spreading tree, a heavy cropper with fruit to be picked late September and used September to December.

Warner's King dates back to 1700 and has a history that has been well documented. Over the years, this apple tree has been called by various names, known in Maidstone as Killicks apple or the King apple. It was first discovered in Wavering, Kent as a seedling.
